Terms and conditions of sale

Terms applicable to all of our catering services.

01. Application of the terms and conditions of sale

Our services are subject to these terms and conditions of sale. They apply to the relationship between:

  • the client, acting in a personal capacity or on behalf of a company
  • Genecand Traiteur SA

Confirming a booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale.

02. Quotes

We prepare up to three quotes or proposals for your event free of charge before it is confirmed. Beyond three quotes, without a firm confirmation on your part, each additional quote will be charged at: CHF 50.– excl. VAT

03. Tastings

For any confirmed event, a tasting meal can be arranged on request.

Pricing

  • Free if the quote is ≥ CHF 10,000.–
  • Below that, fees are agreed in advance

04. Order confirmation

A booking only becomes firm once we receive:

  • a copy of the quote, signed, dated and marked "Bon pour accord" (approved)
  • payment of a deposit representing 30% of the total amount of the service

Depending on the service booked, Genecand Traiteur SA may request a higher deposit.

Any change after the invoice is issued incurs administrative fees of: CHF 50.-

Number of guests

The exact number of guests must be communicated 3 working days before the event. Failing that, the number stated on the quote will be used for billing.

Fixed-price services give rise to no reduction if certain goods are not consumed.

05. Changes to services

The number of guests should ideally be communicated one week before the event. It can be adjusted up to 2 working days beforehand at no charge.

Specific menus

Any change related to allergies, dietary requirements or any other specific request incurs a surcharge of: CHF 20.- per affected menu

06. Cancellation

Any cancellation must be made in writing (post or e-mail).

More than 30 days before

The deposit is fully refunded within 8 days.

Less than 30 days before

The deposit is retained as compensation.

Less than 3 days before

The full service amount remains due.

Changes or cancellations to be communicated by phone on 022 329 31 96 or by e-mail. Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00

07. Late payment

Any payment received more than 10 days after the invoice is received incurs a penalty of: CHF 50.-

Any recovery costs are entirely the client's responsibility.

08. Insurance – damage – breakage – theft

Genecand Traiteur SA holds civil liability insurance covering the risks related to its activity.

Conversely, the company cannot be held liable for the following incidents concerning objects or equipment belonging to the client or participants during the event:

  • Fires
  • Theft
  • Loss
  • Any damage
